Martin squadron appoints new Cadet Commander
Middle River, MD. – The Glenn L. Martin Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol appointed a new Cadet Commander during a ceremony on July 5, 2018.
Washington, D.C. — A local Sparrows Point teen and Civil Air Patrol cadet has been selected for an opportunity most adults can only dream of: the chance to represent the United States of America to citizens of countries all over the world. Wyatt Hartman will be traveling to the Netherlands this July to work with other teenagers from over 19 countries, learning about them and sharing their mutual love for aviation and youth leadership.
May 6,2018 – Middle River, MD: The new Martin squadron website was created using the new templates released by National HQ. The new template uses WordPress, installed on our domain that is hosted by Dreamhost.
Using the tools available from WordPress, the website will be more dynamic and have options that were not available on our old Google page.
Website was created by Lt. Col. Christopher Roche, Maryland Wing Director of Public Affairs and former squadron commander.
12/25/2017 – Middle River, MD.:– Maryland Wing Civil Air Patrols Glenn L. Martin Composite Squadron hosted an annual wreath laying ceremony to honor and remember our fallen military veterans.
The event was held at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, at the Lamky Luther Whitehead Veterans Memorial. Each branch of the military, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines, were represented by laying a wreath at the memorial. An additional prisoner of war wreath was placed to honor those veterans that never returned.
12/20/2017 — HAMPSTEAD, Md. – Civil Air Patrol Capt. Agatha Vogelgesang, a member of Maryland Wing’s Glenn L. Martin Composite Squadron and Earth and Space science teacher at Shiloh Middle School, gave opening remarks to the school and local community during a recent Veterans Day assembly on November 10.
